Bell Ringing for Salvation Army
Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army is a service project that we have been doing every year since 1986.It is our longest running service project and started the year our club was established in 1986.
SIGS’s annual contribution to the Salvation Army, along with the many other volunteers and paid staff of the Salvation Army, is what sustain the successful operation of the Salvation Army.
What a wonderful opportunity for SIGS to shine bright during the holiday season in its support of the Salvation Army. Thanks to all SIGS members who contribute their time, effort and support to making this one of SIGS’s longest running service projects.
Educating and empowering women who are homeless with the skills and confidence necessary to get a job, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and regain a home for themselves and their children: this is the mission of Women’s Empowerment.
This was a mission created by homeless women expressing their needs; and a mission created by a community coming together around the desire to end homelessness—for good.
This holiday season, SIGS is proud to be working with Women’s Empowerment. Our club will donate 50 Holiday stockings to local women and children. Each stocking contains a $10 Target giftcard, a winter hat, gloves, and scarf, as well as age-appropriate holiday goodies!
