The speaker for this meeting is Jackie Simon, Community Relations Coordinator for Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Sacramento.

In addition to her recent employment at CASA, Jackie has been an advocate for over 12 years.  Over this time, she has supported 3 youth.  She is currently advocating for an 18 year old young woman who recently achieved her primary goal of graduating from high school in June and has transitioned to Extended Foster Care.  They have been matched for over 3 years.

Over the years with CASA Sacramento, she has demonstrated her support for the organization in other capacities by helping at various fundraising events, serving as a panel member at volunteer training, as a CASA mentor for monthly CASA volunteer support meetings, and doing volunteer outreach in the community.  She continues to be passionate about advocation for foster youth and sharing that enthusiasm with others to inspire people in the community to become a consistent and caring adult in a child’s life.
